I, Kajal Rana, is currently pursuing Ph.D. at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, India, under the supervision of Prof. Avinash Bajaj. My work focuses on drug delivery for targeted anti-inflammatory therapy to combat various chronic inflammatory disorders such as psoriasis, sepsis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer. Delivery of anti-inflammatory drugs like glucocorticosteroids is highly challenging due to their poor solubility and uncontrolled release, leading to undesirable systemic toxicity. Therefore, we are developing non-immunogenic and biocompatible localized and targeted delivery systems to maintain the sustained release of steroids at the disease site.
