Dr. Alexandros Marios Sofias is Principal Investigator at RWTH Aachen University Hospital. His lab focuses on unraveling cancer nanomedicine targeting mechanisms via multimodal and multiscale imaging (e.g., PET/CT, FLT/CT, Intravital Confocal / Multiphoton Microscopy), and developing nanoimmunotherapeutics for targeting and manipulating the cancer-associated immune system. His lab is funded by the Excellence Initiative of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Clinical Research Unit program of the DFG (CRU-344), the German Cancer Aid (DKH), the Collaborative Research Centers program of the DFG (SFB-1066), and the EuroBioimaging.
