Fabian Kiessling is leading the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging at the RWTH-University in Aachen. His research is about the development of novel diagnostic, theranostic and therapeutic probes as well of advanced imaging technologies and image analysis tools. Fabian Kiessling studied Medicine and performed his thesis as well as his clinical training as Radiologist in Heidelberg (University of Heidelberg, DKFZ). He co-founded 2 companies, authored >400 scientific publications and edited four books. Furthermore, he was awarded as Fellow of RWTH Aachen University and the World Molecular Imaging Society. In 2023-2024 he was President of the European Society for Molecular Imaging (ESMI). Since 2019 he is listed as “Highly Cited Researcher” by Clarivate Analytics.
