Dr Andile K.M Faya joined the University of KwaZulu-Natal as a staff member in March 2019 after completing his PhD in pharmaceutics where he was researching novel bioactive peptides to target pathogenic microorganisms. Currently, he has established a research laboratory, focusing on nano-encapsulation of novel peptides and small molecular compounds for cancer targeting. He is also currently supervising 5 PhDs and 5 Masters Students.
