Kenneth R. Sims Jr., PhD is a Lead Materials Scientist and founding member of the Non-Viral Gene Delivery Team at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio. Ken specializes in polymer nanoparticle drug delivery with over 15 years of academic, biotechnology, and industry experience. Prior to Battelle, he worked at Merck & Co., Inc. in commercial vaccine manufacturing where he rose to become a subject matter expert in formulation, filling, and lyophilization for multiple vaccine products. Ken holds degrees from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (PhD), Drexel University College of Medicine (MS), and Lehigh University (BS).
