With a background in pharmacy and analytical chemistry, Snežana Đorđević has dedicated her career to merging her skills into the drug delivery field. She performed her Ph.D. project at Polymer Therapeutics Laboratory, based in Valencia (Spain) and earned her PhD in chemistry in May 2023 at the Polytechnical University of Valencia. She undertakes multidisciplinary research with the focus on the implementation of analytical chemistry concepts in the design of novel drug delivery systems. Her six-year experience in the rational design of polymer therapeutics and as a leader of analytical team at Polymer Therapeutics Lab, together with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing professional environment, organizational skills, and expertise in many analytical techniques lead her to obtain a position of Application Scientist at Tosoh Bioscience. In her future position, Snežana will be focusing on finding new applications of SEC and light scattering in the characterization of polymers and polymer-based drug delivery systems with the final goal to enhance the clinical translation of said systems. She received the Best Oral Communication Price from SPLC-CRS and CRS Local Chapter Young Scientist Travel Grant to attend CRS 2024.
