Karina Benderski is a 4th-year PhD student at RWTH Aachen University Hospital at the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging, supervised by Prof. Twan Lammers and Dr. Alexandros Marios Sofias. She holds an MSc and BSc in Chemistry from the RWTH Aachen University. Her research activities involve the imaging-based characterization of the tumor microenvironment as well as the association of specific TME features, specifically in multidrug-resistant cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, she is testing synergistic combination therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma using novel preclinical mouse models.
