Dr. Tyler Novak is the Director of Drug Delivery Strategy and Innovation at Gilead Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering innovative therapies in virology, oncology, and inflammation for over 35 years. Dr. Novak’s work focuses on advancing and commercializing drug delivery technologies to advance Gilead’s novel therapies and revolutionize the patient experience. Prior to Gilead, Dr. Novak held roles at Intersect ENT (now part of Medtronic), a company specializing in controlled release for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis, and Cook Biotech (now part of RTI Surgical) designing and developing tissue engineered surgical implants for the regeneration of damaged/degenerated tissue structures. Tyler received his PhD from Purdue University with a focus on biosimilar tissue engineering for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
