Rachel Galaska is currently a Formulation Engineer in the Research and Development group at Oakwood Laboratories, L.L.C. (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). Rachel received her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton (Dayton, Ohio, USA). She joined Oakwood Labs in 2019 and is now involved in furthering the development and production of microsphere products and advancements in microsphere process technology, which have culminated in several patent filings. She currently works as the lead of multiple projects involving the encapsulation of various active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) into biodegradable polymeric microspheres. These injectable microspheres, for both human and animal use, can extend the efficacy of APIs for as long as one week and up to one year in vivo.
