Priv.-Doz. Dr. habil. Simon Drescher, Managing Director of the Phospholipid Research Center (PRC), is a pharmacist by training. After completing his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry, he worked in different groups at the Martin Luther Univ Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, where he completed his habilitation in pharmaceutical chemistry in 2017. After two semesters as a deputy professor for Pharmaceutical Bioanalytics at the Univ Greifswald, Germany, he joined the PRC in 2019, first as deputy managing director and since Feb 2021 as its managing director. He has also been President of the CRS Local Chapter Germany/Switzerland/Austria (DeChAt) since March 2024.
