Dr. Ceren Kimna (Helmholtz Munich) is a chemical engineer with a research focus on developing new materials for drug delivery and tissue engineering. In 2023, she obtained her PhD from the Technical University of Munich, where she focused on designing smart materials for drug delivery applications. Currently, she is in her second year as a postdoctoral scientist in the lab of Prof. Ali Erturk at Helmholtz Munich, Germany. The Erturk lab specializes in developing advanced tissue clearing and imaging techniques, coupled with artificial intelligence-guided data analysis. Her primary objective is to to develop new nucleic acid nanocarriers and utilize whole-body, cell-level imaging to evaluate and improve their biodistribution and performance.
