Since 2017 Francesca Mastrotto is Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences, at the University of Padova. She received her PhD degree at the same Institute in 2011 and soon after she moved to the University of Nottingham as a post-doc (2012-2017), working on boht polymer chemistry and Immunology. Her research lies at the interface of organic/polymer synthesis and biology with a special focus in the development of glycopolymers with specific targeting capabilities, and also polymer and lipid-based nanoparticles for nucleic acids delivery.
