In 2024, Dr. D’Arcy joined the Arizona State University as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering.
He earned an undergraduate M.Eng in Biomedical Materials Science from the University of Manchester and later spent time in industry at Biocompatibles plc (Farnham, UK). Richard returned to the University of Manchester for his Ph.D. and completed his postdoctoral training at the Italian Institute of Technology (Genoa, Italy). Prior to his position at ASU, Richard was a Research Assistant Professor within the department of Biomedical Engineering (Vanderbilt University) where he was was awarded a DoD Discovery Award.
Richard's research team is dedicated to addressing today's paramount drug delivery challenges while developing advanced drug delivery systems, gene therapies, and biomaterials for musculoskeletal disorders and cancer.
