Prof. Tianyuan Zhang, Ph.D., is currently working at College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University, China. He received his Ph.D. from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Zhejiang University in 2016. During the Ph.D. course, he also studied as a joint-Ph.D. student in Kyoto University in Japan. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dr. Li Dak Sum and Yip Yio Chin Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at Zhejiang University from 2016-2022. Later, he joined College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University as a special-pointed professor. He has a broad training in drug delivery, gene therapy, stem cells therapy and magnetic nanomaterials. His recent research is focused on the mitochondrial therapy and the application of engineered stem cells or their cell membrane as drug delivery vehicles for targeting therapy of diverse lung disease, including lung metastasis, pulmonary fibrosis and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
