Sabah Kasmi graduated as an Industrial Pharmacist in 2014 from Ghent University, Belgium. She obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the department of Pharmaceutics (Biopharmaceutical Unit), where her research focused on the development of polymer- and lipid-based nanomaterials for cancer therapy. In 2021, Sabah was granted a VLAIO post-doctoral Innovation Mandate and began her career as a Scientist at etherna. There, she specialized in the design and synthesis of novel ionizable lipids for the delivery of nucleic acid therapies. Currently, as a Senior Scientist mRNA Formulation, she is dedicated to innovating lipid and polymeric designs, along with developing and optimizing RNA delivery platforms tailored to specific applications.
