Dr Maria Rosa Gigliobianco is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Pharmacy from the Univeristy "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti and Pescara, Italy.
She obtained her PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology from the University of Camerino, Italy, in 2018. Subsequently, she got a postdoctoral scholarship focused on developing polymeric nanoparticles for biomedical purposes. Her study has been acknowledged by receiving several awards and an international fellowship. She received the MSCA-Individual fellowship under the H2020-MSCA-IF-2020 call. Over several years, she has acquired specialised knowledge in creating diverse polymeric delivery systems based on nanoparticles. In addition, she researched innovative methods for producing and studying versatile raw materials from waste sources, with a particular focus on generating new dermocosmetics products. Dr Gigliobianco has authored over 28 refereed articles that have received significant citations.
