Dr. Marwa Sallam is currently a senior research associate at the school of engineering, Brown University. She is also a professor of pharmaceutical technology at faculty of pharmacy Alexandria university. Dr. sallam obtained her Masters and PhD in pharmaceutical sciences from the faculty of pharmacy Alexandria University, Egypt. After PhD, she was successfully awarded multiple short-term fellowships and she had several trainings in Europe and USA. She was a postdoctoral scholar visiting scholar at faculty of pharmacy, Granada University, Spain and visiting scholar at polymer therapeutics lab at CIPF, Valencia, and Visting scientist at the molecular therapeutics lab at school of pharmacy, Geneva University (EPGL) Switzerland. Dr. Sallam was a Fulbright postdoctoral scholar at Mitragotri lab for drug delivery at the school of engineering & applied science at Harvard University. Dr. Sallam is a vice-chair of the CRS oral delivery focus group and a board member of the nanoscale and bioengineering CRS focus groups and a YSC member. Her research focuses on targeted drug delivery systems and advanced biomaterial for immunomodulation and treatment of various inflammatory diseases and cancer.
