Assistant Professor
Technion Israel Institute of Technology
My journey began with a master's program at Ghent University in Belgium, renowned as the top school for Veterinary Medicine. My passion for an international academic career led me to pursue doctoral research in molecular imaging at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. After completing my PhD, I embarked on my career as an independent researcher, focusing on translational cardiovascular imaging in Eindhoven and later expanding to hematopoietic stem cells and radionuclide imaging in cardiovascular disease at Harvard Medical School. Currently, I lead the Vandoorne Laboratory of In Vivo Multi-Scale Imaging at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, established in October 2020. Our lab is dedicated to developing innovative imaging methods to understand inflammatory processes underlying cardiovascular disease.
