Fabiana Quaglia is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Department of Pharmacy – University of Napoli Federico II, Italy. She graduated in Pharmacy (1992), received a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1997) and a Specialization in Hospital Pharmacy (1998) from University of Napoli Federico II. She obtained postdoctoral training at the University of Paris-Sud, France. Since 2021, she is affiliated to the Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB) of the National Research Council, Italy.
Her primary research interests focus on combination therapeutic approaches for the treatment of different diseases using engineered polymeric nanoparticles. She has published 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals receiving more than 6000 citations with an h-index of 45.
She was an Individual Membership Representative of EUFEPS (2005-2007) and an Interim Managing Editor of Biomedical Microdevices (2021–2022). She serves as an Associate Editor for Europe/Africa on Drug Delivery and Translational Research.
