Katelyn Swindle-Reilly, PhD, Vice Chair for CRS OcD, has a BS (Georgia Institute of Technology), MS and PhD (Washington University in St. Louis) in Chemical Engineering. After postdoctoral training at Saint Louis University, she researched and developed wound care products at Rochal Industries , 4 of which have received FDA clearance. She is an Associate Professor and Innovation Scholar in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on the design of polymeric biomaterials for soft tissue repair and drug delivery. She is also CTO of Vitranu, a startup developing ocular delivery technologies.
