I am currently Chief Scientific Officer at Quotient Sciences responsible for scientific and technical experts across both the UK and USA. After obtaining my pharmacy degree and PhD from the University of Nottingham I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years for organisations of all sizes – from start-up biotechs (RegenTec, Critical Pharmaceuticals) to larger pharmaceutical companies (Ipsen, Pfizer). I have a passion for the application of advanced drug delivery technologies to address unmet clinical needs, particularly in the areas of protein and peptide drug delivery, solubility enhancement and controlled release. I am a member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Scientists of Great Britain and was twice elected to the board of directors of the Controlled Release Society (CRS) where I served for a number of years as Director-at-Large and Secretary.
