Andrea C. del Valle is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. She received her PhD (2020) in biomedical engineering from National Tsinghua University, Taiwan. Dr. del Valle's thesis focused on the development of metal-based nanoparticles for the treatment of multidrug-resistant cancer. She was also trained as a genetic and genomics analyst professional at Stanford University, USA. After a year of postdoctoral experience in metastatic cancer invasion at Karolinska Institutet, she joined Qiaolin Deng and Georgios A. Sotiriou for their KI research incubator (KIRI) program, leading the development of cell-type specific nanoparticles to prevent fetal programming by dysfunctional placenta.
