Lucia Martín Banderas is Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Universidad de Sevilla where she earned the degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed her thesis in the Department of Fluid Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, in the area of microfluidics, using microfluidic devices for the development of coded microparticles for diagnostic purposes.
In recent years, her scientific interests have focused on the development of innovative nanomedicine-based drugs, including nanotheragnostic agents, from their design and synthesis to their validation in animal models and in vitro assays in cell cultures.
