Post Doctoral fellow
University of Milano-Bicocca
Vedano al Lambro, Lombardia, Italy
Antonietta obtained her Master’s degree, cum laude, in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, at University of Pavia in 2019 (Prof. Dr. Genta Laboratory). Afterwards, she spent six months abroad, with the Erasmus Traineeship post-graduation project, at I3Bs - Research Institute on Biomaterials, Biodegradables and Biomimetics of University of Minho, Braga (Portugal). Antonietta obtained her PhD in Biomolecular Science and Biotechnology in 2023 at University School for Advanced Studies (IUSS) Pavia, developing versatile polymeric nanoplatforms for drug delivery (Prof. Genta-Conti Laboratories). During her PhD, she joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Olivia Merkel (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Munich, Germany) as an Erasmus Traineeships student, working on polymeric nanoparticles for nucleic acid and protein delivery. Subsequently, Antonietta spent about one year as Postdoctoral Researcher fellow at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, at the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Paolo Decuzzi, where she worked on nanotechnology and precision medicine, studying micrometric and nanometric systems. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher fellow at University of Milano-Bicocca, at the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Claudia Corbo, where she studies the nanoparticles’ protein corona for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and the development of innovative drug delivery systems.
