I am a postdoc in the Polymers and Biomaterials research group led by PI Nicola Tirelli at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova, Italy. As a pharmacist with a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, my research interests concern the conceptualization and development of new medicines, starting from fundamental aspects and moving into applications in the fields of drug delivery and nanomedicine. I am currently focused on the microfluidic-assisted manufacture of nano-formulations, with particular attention to the effect of the channel geometry and morphology on critical nanoparticle descriptors, such as size, size distribution and composition.
