Dr. Viviane Doggwiler is formulation scientist in the R&D department at dsm-firmenich in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland. She has extensive knowledge and experience in controlled release peroral, solid formulations for targeting specific regions of the gastrointestinal tract. During her PhD studies, she developed a novel tablet formulation for controlled colonic delivery of active ingredients by combining a microbially degradable polysaccharide matrix with an enteric polymer coating. These tablets were extensively tested in in vitro, in vivo, and in silico (mechanistic) studies. Dr. Doggwiler further holds a MSc degree in pharmaceutical sciences and a BSc degree in pharmaceutical technologies.
