Dr. Nilesh M. Mahajan is working as a Professor and Head, of the Department of Pharmaceutics at Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy, Besa, Nagpur. He has 22 years of teaching and 17 years of research experience. He has guided 73 postgraduate students and guided 04 Ph.D. students. He has 10 patents for his innovations. He has published more than 60 research publications in journals of repute. He has fetched grants of 1.2 Crore from different funding agencies like AICTE, DBT, and BIRAC. He has published a book entitled, ‘Photophysics and Nanophysics in Therapeutics’ with a reputed publication agency, Elsevier Inc.
He served as a resource for 30 conferences/workshops/seminars. He has also written a book chapter entitled ‘Development of Pharmaceutical Aids from Agricultural and Other Wastes’ for the edited book entitled ‘360-degree Waste Management’ published by Elsevier Inc. He is an editorial board member of 02 scientific journals. He is a life member of APTI and Executive Member of the Controlled Release Society – India Chapter. His areas of research expertise are Nanotherapeutics, Crystal engineering, and Polyherbal formulations. Recently he has been awarded a “Best Researcher” by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur for his outstanding contribution to Science and Technology.
