Silvia L. Fialho (PhD) is Principal Investigator and Leader of Ocular Drug Delivery Group (OcuDDel) at Ezequiel Dias Foundation (Brazil). She has experience in Pharmacy, focusing on Pharmaceutical Technology, acting on the following subjects: drug delivery systems, polymeric nanoparticles, biodegradable implants, ocular delivery systems. Her lab is dedicated to the development and preclinical evaluation of new therapies based on drug delivery for the treatment of ocular diseases. She has over 110 papers. She has two clinical trial of intravitreal implants published. Silvia Fialho is board member of the Ocular Delivery Focus Group and of the Brazilian Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society (CRS).
