Professor Hyun Jung Chung is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, KAIST. Prof. Chung received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering at KAIST (2010), and performed her post-doctoral studies at Harvard Medical School, until she was appointed as faculty at KAIST in 2014. Her research has been on the application of nanotechnology and biomolecular engineering strategies for biomedical purposes, such as therapeutics and diagnosis of diseases. Currently, her laboratory has been focusing on developing advanced gene therapeutics based on nanoengineering and nonviral delivery of the genome editing machinery and nucleic acids for treatment of various human diseases such as cancer and infections.
