Cátia D. F. Lopes is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona, Spain. From 2017 to 2021, she was a Postdoc Researcher at the Neuroengineering and Computational Neuroscience group at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S) of the University of Porto and a Visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Functional Sciences of the School of Health Sciences of Porto, Portugal.
Her research interests and expertise are focused on integrating gene editing approaches with nanotechnology to help develop new therapies for human neurodegenerative diseases.
