My interest in physicochemical characterisation of nanomaterials developed during my Masters in Chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. Internships at the pharmaceutical industry (Merck KGaA) and EMBL further strengthened my enthusiasm for understanding pharmaceuticals in biological environments. I therefore started a PhD in the field of nanomedicine characterisation, where I am currently elucidating the nano-structure of nanomedicines using small-angle scattering techniques.
