Viorica Patrulea, a lecturer in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Geneva, focuses on tissue regeneration and protection against multidrug-resistant bacteria.
She has collaborated extensively during her PhD and postdoctoral stages, including her postdoc fellowship at the University of Oxford on bioprinting and antimicrobial protection. At the University of Geneva, she developed a unique chemical platform in polymer chemistry and antimicrobial agents. She has been distinguished with several science awards, including the 2019 INNOGAP Award, the 2019 Galenus Support Prize, and the 2020 Marie Curie Seal of Excellence.
Viorica has received several grants, including the Sciex-NMSch (2013), SNSF postdoc mobility (2021-2023) and return SNSF postdoc mobility (2023-2024) grants, and a Special Research Promotion Grant from the President of Tokyo University of Science for testing the efficiency of newly bioprinted antimicrobial scaffolds in vivo (2023-2024).
