Antonia Charalambous obtained her BSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of Leeds in 2013, followed by an MSc in Molecular Medicine from the School of Medicine. Her master’s thesis developed a hydrophobic drug delivery system for ultrasound-triggered release of anti-cancer agents, which she expanded on during her PhD to improve delivery efficacy. In October 2022, she joined the Cancer Biophysics Laboratory at the University of Cyprus as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow, where her research aims to normalize the tumor microenvironment to enhance drug delivery to cancer cells.
