I hold a PhD in medicinal chemistry from University of Maryland Baltimore County. I am trained as a classical medicinal chemist with an organic chemistry background. For the first 10 years of my career I have worked as a small molecule medicinal chemist. For the past 12 years I have been involved in various RNA Therapeutics including miRNA, siRNA and mRNA with a focus on lipid designs, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation, and cell/tissue specific delivery. Current work is focused on optmizing LNP for extrahepatic delivery.
