Nannan Wang is a Ph.D. candidate at University of Macau, under the supervision of Prof. Defang Ouyang. Before this, he was a formulation researcher in pharmaceutical industry. His research interests lie in computational pharmaceutics, particularly in developing computation-driven frameworks for drug development. Currently, he is designing a computational pharmaceutical formulation development paradigm. This involves integrating AI and multi-scale modeling to efficiently complete the formulation development process from pre-formulation property prediction to formulation strategy decision-making and formulation and process parameter design. He has developed a drug-excipient compatibility evaluation platform and an AI formulation strategy decision-making platform. Going forward, he plans to further explore the potential of computational pharmaceutics in improving drug development efficiency, aiming to enhance the accessibility of high-quality drug products for patients.
