Katrien Remaut is an associate professor at the Lab General Biochemistry and Physical Pharmacy, Ghent University. Her research interests are ocular delivery of nucleic acids (messenger RNA, siRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, …) and advanced fluorescence microscopy to study non-viral nanoparticles such as lipid nanoparticles. She is (co-)author of > 100 peer reviewed scientific publications and received several prices such as the Price of the Royal Academy of Medicine for Scientific Research in Pharmacy. Katrien is (co-)promotor of > 15 defended PhD theses and associate editor at the European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics and editorial board member of Journal of Controlled Release.
