Yu Seok Youn earned his Ph.D. from Sungkyunkwan University's School of Pharmacy in 2004. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Utah's Prof. You Han Bae’s lab from 2006 to 2007. Joining Sungkyunkwan University in 2011 after a professorship at Pusan National University (2007-2011), he served as editor for the Archives of Pharmacal Research (2017-2022) and as Associate Editor for the Journal of Controlled Release since 2024. Additionally, he held positions as chief of the academic program committee in the Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology and the CRS Korea Chapter (2022-2023).
