Ellen Wasan, PhD is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, Univ. of Saskatchewan, Canada since 2014 and is a licensed pharmacist. Her research is focused on lipid-based drug delivery systems using nanotechnology, with applications in the areas of novel vaccine adjuvants and therapeutics against antimicrobial resistance. Currently her research program is exploring how nanoparticles can be used for intranasal vaccines to enhance the immune response. Dr. Wasan is a network scientist of the Nanomedicines Innovation Network and the current president of the Canada Chapter of the CRS. She received her PhD from the University of British Columbia and trained at the BC Cancer Research Centre and the Vancouver Prostate Centre.
