Chad Johnson received his BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003. He worked in the medical device field for nearly 20 years in divisions of Cook Medical focused on tissue engineering, biologic grafts, and regenerative medicine before joining Akina, Inc. in late 2023 to build out their new Midwest GMP subsidiary. Throughout his education and career, he has authored 16 scientific articles, 20 patents, and given over 100 public presentations. His focus now is on cGMP manufacture of complex pharmaceuticals for early clinical phase testing.
