Dr. Traverso, an Associate Professor at MIT and Associate Physician at BWH, Harvard Medical School, received his degrees from the University of Cambridge and Johns Hopkins University. His PhD focused on non-invasive colon cancer detection tests. At MIT, he developed novel drug delivery and physiological sensing technologies for the gastrointestinal tract. His current research focuses on advanced gastrointestinal drug delivery systems and ingestible electronic devices for sensing various physiologic and pathophysiologic parameters.
