We have developed a digital formulation platform combining microscopic analysis and generative AI to synthesize microstructure networks. The structural synthesis platform can be used in the development of complex products like controlled release microspheres and long-acting implants. With this structural synthesis, drug loading and particle size can me modified digitally, allowing rapid testing for drug release kinetics. Image-based release prediction can be performed on synthesized structures to predict in vitro release profiles. This platform allows for rapid assessment of the formulation space and overcoming barriers of long formulation testing cycles. Applying this technology in long-acting implant development could shorten the lifecycle from 5+ years down to a couple of years.
