Equity, diversity, and inclusion are fundamental principles to the Controlled Release Society and integral to excellence in scientific research and communication. CRS places a strong emphasis on ED&I, as evidenced by its inclusion as one of the five primary pillars in our strategic plan: "Advance Diversity, Equity & Inclusion within CRS and the Field." CRS takes pride in celebrating the diversity of its members, their ideas, educational backgrounds, and cultural experiences. The collective expertise, views, and experiences of the CRS community help drive scientific discovery and technical innovation for the betterment of all members and the society. CRS acknowledges and appreciates the unique contributions of each of its members in their pursuit of cutting-edge research, professional development, and relationship-building across the globe.
The privilege of membership in CRS requires that each member conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism, respect, and ethics always. We welcome all members with an interest in controlled release and strive for inclusion and equity, access and respect, irrespective of member's:
- Ethnicity/race/age/gender
- Cultural/religion/political affiliation
- Sexual orientation/gender identity
- Disability/physical abilities/special needs
- Communication or fluency skills
- Citizenship status
- Income level/net worth
- Education level/professional focus/work affiliations.
